Life without a computer......
Really.....how did we survive our childhood with no internet?! LOL. My computer has been down for a while, not that anyone has missed me. Nothing much to log here anyway besides the heat and humidity! The garden went to hell in a handcart, the only thing left are the beets. Everything else withered away and died. I did look forward to putting up yellow squash for the winter, maybe I should buy some from the grocery store or farmers market and put it up.....I think I will, come January, I'll be wanting some! I think canning is therapeutic. And rewarding.

My tomatoes were a bust but I still have a few growing okay. I have beets and carrots. Everything else did awful.
ReplyDeleteMy basil was dying in June but it did bounce back. They are not HUGE like usual but I should get one good batch of Pesto out of them this year.
I've never tried growing herbs! Ohhhhhh my poor tomatoes....cripes. I had 5 plants, every tomato ripened at the same time and had bloom rot. Son of a bitch....the ones I got to while they were green were so good, but they were few and far between. I didn't do carrots this year, last year they didn't do anything. I really miss my yellow squash though. I must admit...I've never tried pesto...how do you make it?
